Mina Mah
From Mountain Roots to Global Truths, Writing Stories That Stir the Soul
Welcome to my world
I believe stories can cross borders, mend hearts, and open minds, and that’s what I aim to do with everything I write.
I’m Mina Mah, a British-Kurdish author, speaker, and former freedom fighter.
Born in a remote mountain village in Iran, my journey has taken me through war zones, refugee camps, and across continents before finding a new home in the UK.
Along the way, I’ve carried stories of survival, resilience, love, and loss, and I’ve learned just how powerful they can be.
Whether I’m writing a novel like The Rolling Pumpkin, sharing poetry, or speaking at schools and festivals, my goal is simple: to give voice to the unheard.
My work centres on the lives of displaced people, especially women and children, told with honesty, humour, and heart.
These stories aren’t just about struggle; they’re about hope, identity, and what it means to belong.
If something here resonates with you, I’d love for you to stay a while.
Read a story, watch a talk, or reach out and say hello.
After all, stories are meant to be shared.
